Tools with a Mission
Tools with a Mission (TWAM) is a UK charity that collects unwanted tools, refurbishes them and then sends them to the developing world to support livelihood creation.
Annually they send about 300 tonnes in 20 containers to Africa, including hand tools, computers, sewing machines and so on. They work with charities, schools and churches.
Although TWAM is a completely separate organisation from Rotary, it is considered worthy of our support. We merely collect and donate to TWAM and it doesn’t require any funds from Rotary. Naturally it is happy to accept donations from all sources.
