Corporate Membership applications follow the same sort of process as for individuals. We get to know each other and joining is a mutual decision.
Each corporate body pays for a membership subscription but can nominate up to four individuals as corporate members. They can then participate fully as other Members do, serving on projects and so on. They can all attend and take a full part in meetings but only one is able to vote.
Participating in Rotary projects and taking a full part in the activities of the Club, including social events, can increase community awareness, personal networking and links to other organisations. All this is for mutual benefit, and all the better for the Dengie.
In short, being a local organisation committed to doing good helps all round.
Corporate members can range from large or small charitable organisations, businesses, schools, local branches of large organisations, and more. with up to four people actively involved in the club, this offers flexibility for both the organisation and the individuals involved.
Currently we have two Corporate Members with whose work we are very pleased to be associated with: Knightswood Day Care Centre and the Cirdan Sailing Trust.
Knightswood Day Care Centre
Knightswood have a Day Care Centre at Asheldham Hall Farm and run various groups and clubs at their Community Hub in Althorne.
Both sites provide a safe haven for local people of all ages, looking for support, friendship, fun & kindness.

Cirdan Sailing Trust
By providing sailing voyages for young people, the Trust gives young adults with special needs a chance to learn and achieve new skills they would not have learnt in day-to-day life.
The sense of achievement, self-confidence and self-esteem developed during each voyage is accompanied by the experience of team building and improvement in their communication skills. Marvellous.
