The annual Ramble for 2026 will be held on Saturday, 2nd May, starting at 10.30 from All Saints Church, Ferry Road, Creeksea, (CM0 8PQ). For directions see the map in the church website: Contact – All Saints Church Creeksea.
The Ramble is aimed at celebrating community spirit through a bit of friendly competition, and a whole lot of fun. As a local fundraising challenge it is designed to help each organisations boost its funds, raise its profile, and bring people together in the best possible way.
The event encourages organisations to bring up to four representatives in a sponsored ramble — completely free to enter — where every penny raised goes directly towards supporting the organisation. It is an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, have fun, and connect with fellow volunteers from local charities and community groups.
To add an extra splash of creativity and laughter to the day, the Rotary Club is also hosting a ‘Best Hat’ competition. Teams can design and wear a hat that represents the amazing work they do. The most imaginative, eye-catching, or meaningful creation will take home a special prize.
Following a lovely riverside walk alongside like-minded people, there will be cake and refreshments available, provided by the Knightswood Day Care Centre.
There is also space available for information stands (for a small donation), giving organisations the chance to showcase their work and tell the community what they do.
All in all, the event is designed to be enjoyable, inclusive, and rewarding.
